Summer Fun

On Saturday there was a block party for our church and
the girls got butterflies painted around their faces.

Today I took all 3 girls swimming at my friend Julie's.
Taylor is now swimming with her face in the water,
Cameron is still timid and swam a lot with just one swimmie,
and Peyton swam a little too!!!

Family pics

We took some family pics after church.

We spent all week by the pool. Taylor learned to swim all by herself. Cameron can do it, but feels much more comfortable with her swimmies.

New Layout

How do y'all like my new look? I stayed up really late working on this. I'm hoping I still have some people checking this blog to keep up with us. If you check my blog every once in a while please leave me a comment. I love to read the comments!!! It helps encourage me to keep this site going. It's funny it seems like everybody has a blog now & until today they all looked cooler than mine. I have to admit I'm kind of proud of myself for keeping this blog going now for more than 4 years. I don't write a lot of fun stuff, but I try to keep current pictures of my beautiful girls for our friends & family to see. So let me know your thoughts on my blog.

Oh by the way as soon as I figure out where we unpacked the camera, I'll post a few pictures from our trip to Kentucky.

Babies multiplied

All of my previous year fellow 3rd grade teachers plus one of the 2nd grade teachers were preggo at the same time. All the other 3rd grade teachers had moved on to new schools but we've all tried to stay close. So this past week we all got together with all of our babies. So here are the babies from left to right:
Isaac, Mallory, Grayson, Peyton, Chloe

So the funny this was that Chloe kind of moved a little and all of a sudden we had a domino effect with all the other babies.

4th of July

We had a great 4th. We went over to some of our friends from 121 CC 's house to go swimming. They had homemade ice cream & then we got to watch the Bedford fireworks. It was a classic 4th. Here are the girls on their swing.

Peyton has found something new this past week also. Oh No!!! We have another thumb sucker. At this age it is a wonderful thing because she can put herself back to sleep. The sad thing is I know the future. We're still struggling with Taylor. She no longer sucks her thumb because I put yucky stuff on it. Now she sucks her pinky. Oh well.

Six Flags

My friend Julie from work watched Peyton for us and we headed for Six Flags on Friday. I believe the temperature got up to 100, but it was a dry heat with a little breeze. The girls had a blast they loved the rides. They especially loved the 2 roller coasters we got to ride, although by the end of the day Taylor really didn't like the last 2 rides. I think she was getting really sleepy. It was a great day. I loved watching how excited they got on the rides.

Taylor didn't want to take her picture with the characters,
so here's Cameron with Daffy Duck & Porky Pig

On the little train in the Looney Toons kids area.

Fun on the swings!!

After lunch we let the girls play in a sprayground,
so their food would settle. We didn't want any puking.

Riding the big roller coaster. They liked it so much we rode it twice.

This is the big train that went all the way around the park.

Peyton is 2 months old

Yesterday Peyton was 2 months. I took her to the Dr. for her check up and she is 12 lbs. and 23 1/2 in. She's in the 75th % for her weight and 90th% for her height. She got 3 shots and a liquid vaccine to take orally. She screamed bloody murder with each shot and I got a little teary eyed. It's just so hard to see your little baby get those first shots.

I also wanted to say Happy Father's Day to Dustin. He is such a good daddy. He helps me so much with the girls. He has given the girls almost all their baths since I was probably about 8 months pregnant. He does bath and bedtime with Cameron & Taylor while I'm nursing, bathing & laying down Peyton. So for Father's day we went last night to see a Braves vs. Rangers game. It was great!!! $$ hot dog night and tons of Braves fans. The Braves won 5-2 and Chipper hit a home run in the 1st inning. It was a fun night.

Splashpark fun

We enjoyed the splashpark so much last year we wanted to play there again. We're going next week too!! Free fun in the water, it's great!!!

We're Glad Summer Is Here!!!

We are so excited that the summer weather has come in TX. We've enjoyed the warm weather this past week. We tried to put up the pool that was left with the house, but it was up on Saturday and down on Sunday. Unfortunately it leaks badly, so back to our little plastic pool that also has 3 bad holes in it. It will hold water long enough for the girls to play.

Smiling!!

Peyton started smiling at 3 weeks, although she was smiling in her sleep since she was born. We haven't been able to capture it until this past week. So here she is smiling at 5 weeks. Oh and the picture with all the bears just cracked the girls and I up. Enjoy!!!!!!!

Sleeping

Sleeping is going pretty good. She almost always goes at least 3 hours and usually goes between 4 & 5 hours. It is so nice to only have one to handle during the middle of the night. She has pooped on me one night, so I have been reminded what life is like with a newborn. Up until yesterday I would have told you she is a super easy baby, but yesterday and today she has spent most of her awake time crying. If the paci isn't in her mouth then she is probably crying and someone is trying to get the paci back into her mouth. The good news is that Cameron & Taylor both enjoy doing this task.

I'm hoping tomorrow will bring a new day and my happy Peyton back to me. Dustin would tell you she always cries a lot, but that is because she likes her mommy most. As she should!!!! She is ok about naps during the day. She sleeps best when she is swaddled. So pretty much every time it is time for a nap I swaddle her up. She will take a nap pretty much anywhere and has adjusted to the noise of the girls. The only downside is that she takes more catnaps then full naps. I think I remember the girls being the same way for a while.

We have a picture of Peyton in the same outfit we had for the girls. Tell me what you think. Do they all look alike to you? I forgot how skinny the girls were. At they're 2 week appointment they weighed 5lbs. 9 oz. & 6 lbs. Peyton weighed 9 lbs. when I took her the other day. Once again another difference in having only 1.
