We're Glad Summer Is Here!!!

We are so excited that the summer weather has come in TX. We've enjoyed the warm weather this past week. We tried to put up the pool that was left with the house, but it was up on Saturday and down on Sunday. Unfortunately it leaks badly, so back to our little plastic pool that also has 3 bad holes in it. It will hold water long enough for the girls to play.

Smiling!!

Peyton started smiling at 3 weeks, although she was smiling in her sleep since she was born. We haven't been able to capture it until this past week. So here she is smiling at 5 weeks. Oh and the picture with all the bears just cracked the girls and I up. Enjoy!!!!!!!

Sleeping

Sleeping is going pretty good. She almost always goes at least 3 hours and usually goes between 4 & 5 hours. It is so nice to only have one to handle during the middle of the night. She has pooped on me one night, so I have been reminded what life is like with a newborn. Up until yesterday I would have told you she is a super easy baby, but yesterday and today she has spent most of her awake time crying. If the paci isn't in her mouth then she is probably crying and someone is trying to get the paci back into her mouth. The good news is that Cameron & Taylor both enjoy doing this task.

I'm hoping tomorrow will bring a new day and my happy Peyton back to me. Dustin would tell you she always cries a lot, but that is because she likes her mommy most. As she should!!!! She is ok about naps during the day. She sleeps best when she is swaddled. So pretty much every time it is time for a nap I swaddle her up. She will take a nap pretty much anywhere and has adjusted to the noise of the girls. The only downside is that she takes more catnaps then full naps. I think I remember the girls being the same way for a while.

We have a picture of Peyton in the same outfit we had for the girls. Tell me what you think. Do they all look alike to you? I forgot how skinny the girls were. At they're 2 week appointment they weighed 5lbs. 9 oz. & 6 lbs. Peyton weighed 9 lbs. when I took her the other day. Once again another difference in having only 1.

This is the WEEK!!

Well I'm days away from being 40 weeks. I had another appointment today and I still haven't progressed at all. It's kind of a bummer. Since the baby hasn't been moving much, the Dr. sent me to the hospital to have a non-stress test. The great news is she is doing good. During the test I also found out that I am having some contractions and now I know what they feel like. We did decide to go ahead and schedule a c-section for Friday at 1:00. The Dr. said if I haven't shown any progress at that time we need to go ahead and have a c-section before she gets too big. So that still gives me a few more days to go into labor and it also provides a light at the end of the tunnel. So I'm going to work 2 more days and take Thursday off to prepare. Baby Peyton will be here by Friday!!!!

Still Preggo

Well I just thought I would let everybody know that I am still in fact pregnant. I'm 9 days away from my due date. I was so bummed yesterday to find out that I'm still not dilated at all. Since I am trying for a VBAC the Dr. will not induce me. So I'm praying now that I don't get to 40 weeks and still show no signs of progress. If that happens then we will schedule a c-section. I just really want to have this baby. Please pray with me that my body will begin to progress towards labor. I'm really tired and ready to have baby girl Peyton.

Thanks for the prayers!!

Baby Update

Well I'm 35 weeks preggo. I went to the Dr. today and everything is on track. I'm on Spring Break so I'm trying very hard to get some much needed rest so I can go back to school for about 3 or 4 weeks. I'm hoping it's more like 2 or 3 weeks, but we'll see. Tomorrow I'm going to have pregnancy pictures made by a friend. She offered to take them for us, because she's just getting started in photography. She wants to build up her portfolio. So I'm hoping I can put some preggo pics up on the blog from her. The girls are doing good, we're spending time potty training yet again this week. The good news is that neither one of them has had a pee pee accident. I'll try to take some other pics of the girls soon.

New Church

Well, I know this blog is mostly about the girls and pics of them, but I thought I would tell y'all what we're up to as a family right now. Next Sunday we will be meeting for the first time with our new church. Last year we met a guy named Joel Engle and realized that we were all equally interested in church planting. So we started meeting with him & his wife and praying about where, when, and how. We decided on Keller, TX. It is a huge growing area. It is amazing how many people are moving into Keller. Dustin is going to be on staff with the new church, but they are all raising their own support. So right now we are trying to figure out exactly what that means for us. Since I'll be having Peyton very soon, our plan is that I'll stay home with the girls. Childcare is just way to expensive for 3 kids. So we are excited about all the things God is doing right now and can't wait to see what else he does. If you would like to see the new church website check out www.theexchangedfw.com. The church is called The Exchange. If you click the title of this post it is a link to the church. I still don't really know how to put a link in my blog. You would think after using blogger for about 4 years I would be familiar. Truth is that I've only taught myself how to post regular posts and pictures.

Snow!!!!!

We've had some crazy weather this week. This past Sat. I think it was close to 80 degrees. On Monday night it was freezing and snowing. Tuesday morning there was still snow on the ground in some places and by Tuesday afternoon it was sunny and 65 degrees. Wed. I think it was about 65 again. Today it started raining around 10 and that became sleet then snow. This afternoon it was snowing a lot and we probably had about 2-3 inches of snow. Here's a few pics of us playing in the snow.

Baby Registries

I wanted to let anyone that's interested know that I have registered for some things we would love to have for Peyton. I registered with Target, Babies R Us and Walmart. Both Target & Babies R Us have a few things on them. Walmart has a little bit of a longer list.

We've made a decision!!!!

After many votes and several conversations we finally decided on a name. I think Avery actually won the online vote, but in our house Peyton is the winner. I think the thing that helped make the decision was that Taylor said she liked Peyton most. So we hope that you like our choice! We're extremely excited to meet Peyton. She's really become very active recently!!!

Christmas in TN

We got to visit and have tons of fun enjoying Christmas with our families in TN.

December pics

I haven't posted pics in a while but I wanted to post some of the girls. We went to the ICE exhibit at the Texan Gaylord. I'm also so proud to announce that Dustin is now a seminary graduate. He now has his Master of Divinity.
